ACCREDITATION

Oxford International School is authorized by the Ministry of Education of Panama and is fully accredited by The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) www.citaschools.org affirming the School promotes and maintains a well-balanced education program and meets or exceeds standards considered essential for quality in education.

By being accredited by CITA the School enjoys the authorities, rights, privileges and responsibilities of being trans-regionally and internationally accredited. CITA is designed as an administrative interface that enables the seven largest US regional accrediting commissions to act as one accrediting authority when relating to new developments in transregional and international education. This means that students transferring or matriculating from OIS will have their credits and diplomas recognized by nearly 30,000 regionally accredited schools, 2000 internationally accredited schools and by all major colleges and universities in the United States. It assures that the School has met comparable standards to other schools that offer International Baccalaureate (IB) diplomas.

As such, OIS participates in a continuous School Improvement Program, which covers the following areas:

The Educational Program;
Student personnel services;
School Plant and Equipment;
Library Media Program;
Records;
School Improvement;
Preparation of Personnel;
Administration;
Teacher Load;
Student Activities.
