OIS nurse screens and evaluates condition of student and provides basic health care and first aid in case of emergency. The nurse will determine if the condition requires immediate specialized care in case of accidents or illness. The nurse will contact parents/guardian if the condition requires general medical care.

The nurse’s office has all the medical supplies and equipment necessary to provide basic first aid as well as comfortable resting space.

In case of serious injury, the nurse will immediately contact an ambulance, authorized medical service, the school’s insurance company, and parents. The nurse will contact the parents directly to ensure that the appropriate and best decisions are taken to benefit the patient.
